What is Bluechain?
Bluechain is an online payments platform that aims to save small businesses time and money by dramatically
improving the process of receiving and paying invoices. Bluechain’s technology also gives you more flexibility around how/when you pay invoices and, ultimately, more control of your cashflow.
What payment methods can I use on Bluechain?
Bluechain gives the flexibility to use multiple payment methods - credit cards including Amex, Visa, Mastercard (great for earning rewards) and debit cards.
(Soon you’ll also be able to pay directly from your bank account, for faster payments).
Who can I pay through Bluechain?
Bluechain currently allows you to pay most UK registered businesses. You can also pay Sole Traders (there are some additional checks we need to run to get them set up).
As we are a regulated business, we have a number of transaction types that are prohibited from being handled on the Bluechain platform. You can view these here.
How long does it take for suppliers to receive the payment?
Once payments are completed in Bluechain, the supplier will receive the funds within 2 business days.
Is Bluechain secure?
Yes, Bluechain meets financial industry standards around digital security, including being a PCI DSS Level 4 participant. By settling invoices on mobile via the Bluechain app, we’re further reducing the risk of payment fraud. Bluechain’s technology means payment data is never in transit, therefore eliminating the chance of someone stealing it.
