Why is Bluechain Closing in Australia
American Express has chosen not to renew Bluechain's contract in Australia thereby preventing us from accepting American Express card payments. As many of our customers use American Express as their preferred credit card the loss of this business makes it challenging for Bluechain to manage the operational costs in Australia. This has required us to make the difficult decision to move our focus entirely to the UK market at this time.
What if my supplier has not been paid?
Any payments made through Bluechain via American Express, on or before the 23rd of February 2024 will be sent to the intended recipient within 2 business days. If, after 2 business days, your supplier has not received the funds, please contact us at support@bluechain.com. You will not be able to process any American Express payments through the platform after this date however VISA, Mastercard and bank account payments will be available until the 29th of March.
What happens to my scheduled or recurring payments?
Any payments via American Express scheduled or made on or before 23rd of February 2024 will be made to your supplier as normal. Any payments scheduled or made after this date will not be processed and your card will not be charged. Any recurring payments due to be paid after this date will also not be paid. Please make alternative arrangements for these payments to made going forward.
VISA, Mastercard and bank account payments will be available until the 29th of March under the same process as above.
You will still be able to view your previous payments on the platform until the 31st of March 2024 and can download a report of previous payments by following these simple steps -
- Log on to your account and go to Transaction History
- Click on the download button
What happens if I have scheduled a payment for after the 23rd February 2024
Any payments scheduled to be paid after the 23rd of February 2024 (Amex) or after the 29th of March (V/MC and bank account) will be cancelled and no funds taken from your payment card. The transaction will be cancelled and you will need to find an alternative way to pay the bill.
What happens to my personal information?
As a regulated financial business, we are required to keep basic information about our customers for a period of 7 years. This information is kept securely and will not be shared with any third parties. Bluechain does not hold any of our customers financial information i.e credit card numbers.
